Spearfish Arts Center 33rd Annual Winter Art Show Applications Available
The 33rd Annual Winter Art Show will be held in the Matthews Opera House from Thursday, February 23rd through Saturday, February 25th. Applications are now available on the Spearfish Arts Center’s website – spearfishartscenter.org – or in The Gallery, 612 Main Street in downtown Spearfish. Entries accepted include all original 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional Fine Art and Craft Work. Judging divisions are Professional Adult, Amateur Adult, Senior High, Junior High, Grade School, and Kindergarten & Under. Feb 23, 24, 25 – Spearfish Arts Center presents the 33rd Annual Spearfish Winter Arts Show
The 33rd Annual Spearfish Winter Art Show will be held at the Matthews Opera House at 614 Main Street downtown Spearfish on Thursday, February 23rd from 12 – 7 PM and Friday & Saturday, February 24th & 25th from 12 -6 PM. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 23rd at 6:00 PM. Admission is free. March 3 – Matthews Opera House presents Tonic Sol-fa
Emmy award winning A Capella quartet, Tonic Sol-fa, will be performing at the Matthews Opera House on Saturday, March 3rd at 7:30 PM. General admission tickets are $25. March 14 – Bellman Brown Bag

March 10 & 17th - Introduction to Digital Photography Class 9am-1pm
Instructor Bob Wilson, proprietor of Frogworks Photography and graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. This two day class is geared to those who have or are thinking about purchasing a Digital SLR camera and want to do more than just shoot on the 'auto' setting. Participants will learn about focus, metering, exposure, white balance, using shutter speed and depth of field, equipment and be shown basic composition techniques to help make your photos 'pop' and discover what all those buttons do and numbers mean. Attendance is limited, cost is $90 ($40 deposit required)

APRIL 15, 1912: The RMS Titanic sinks in the North Atlantic
In her celebrated one woman show, Deborah Jean Templin tells how Molly Brown and other extraordinary women on board not only survived that night... but changed their own lives and the world around them. Unsinkable Women will be presented at the Matthews Opera House on Saturday, March 31st at 7:30 PM as part of the Subscription Series. Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for youth/BHSU students. April 24 – Matthews Opera House presents Pavlo
Award winning Greek guitarist Pavlo incorporates the world's most exotic instruments into his classic Mediterranean sound. With his band, he will be performing at the Matthews Opera House on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:30 PM as part of the Subscription Series. A lucky audience member will win an autographed guitar!
